Any time Ryan and I are lucky enough to get a substantial amount of time off we love to travel. I think we ALL go through the cycle of getting sick of our day-to-day and wanting to escape on an adventure... but we’ve really needed it recently! We’ve been house hunting for the past few months and it has been BEYOND stressful. Not only did we fall head over heels for a house that went under contract right as we were about to make an offer, but then it happened AGAIN! We’ve been feeling kind of defeated and, with so many Twiddle shows happening on the weekends and me working on the weekdays, it’s been pretty hard for us to just hang out and breathe and let it all go. But my DARLING HUSBAND this Valentine’s Day surprised me with a trip to Barcelona (YAYYYYY!) and, even cooler, we have a 24 hour layover on each end of our trip! Ugh, how lucky am I!!!!????
Of course, I am a HUGE planner so only having a month to figure out what the top sites to see and best restaurants to eat in, etc. was reaaaaaaalllllly hard for me! You guys probably think I’m crazy but C’MON - if you’re gonna travel across the globe you definitely want to get recommendations from friends and family (and maybe some strangers on Pinterest) to find out how to make the most of your time. The hardest part for me so far has been planning our two days in Paris. I went to Paris a few years ago with my younger brother while he was studying abroad. It is undoubtedly one of my favorite places I’ve visited for a number of reasons. I’d love to show Ryan why I fell in love with the “city of lights” ... or “city of love” depending who you ask! But I’m going to have to cram it all in there. Do you guys have any recommendations? I’d love to hear them, if so!
Here are some photos from my last trip! There are so many amazing parts of the city that I really want Ryan to experience like the Eiffel Tour (obviously!), the Louvre and seeing the Mona Lisa, and just wandering along the Seine at night. It truly is so beautiful. I’m also super excited to be spending a full week in Barcelona. We both have NEVER been so it will all be a new and exciting experience for us to have together. I can't wait to share it with all of you, but for now check out these old school photos of me and my brother from 2012, when I was only 25 years old!
