When Ryan's away on tour I have so much more time to catch up on things that interest me. The book club was the first step in making more time for myself (even though I will be doing it with all of you!), and for the second step I decided to start the FIVE THINGS series! A lot of bloggers I follow have a similar series in which they tell their readers a few things that are interesting to them at the time. Whether it be a news article they read, a product that they have been using and LOVE, or a recipe they tried and just had to share! Here are my FIVE THINGS for this week!

ONE WORD - OPRAH! Not only is she just absolutely brilliant, but she is also such an inspiring figure for women. Check out this recap from ELLE that follows her as she campaigned for Stacey Abrams in Georgia last week.

I love taking stupid quizzes (and, coincidentally, I am watching Bob's Burgers as I type this)! I got a kick out of this Buzzfeed quiz: How You Order Your Burgers Will Determine What People Love About You! Apparently, I have the patience of a saint! I "never rush" myself or others and "understand that good things often take time." I have to say that sounds about right!

I just saw the trailer for Isn't It Romantic, starring Rebel Wilson and Liam Helmsworth. I nearly died! Even though it is kind of similar to the Amy Schumer movie I Feel Pretty, I think it will be hilarious and probably better! HA! Can't wait to see it!

I've been obsessed with Chrissy Teigen for a while now, and if you follower her on Twitter I'm sure you probably are too! I loved this article in Glamour about her relationship with her husband, John Legend, and their stance on politics.

Now that the colder weather is here it’s time to break out the slow cooker! I found some delicious sounding recipes that I can’t wait to try! How good does this Slow Cooker S'more Cake look!?
