The charming architecture of Rosemary Beach creates a sense of community unlike any other town that I visited along Scenic 30A. This New Urbanism community has interconnected neighborhoods complete with footpaths, boardwalks and secret pathways leading you to the shops, restaurants, tennis courts, swimming pools, and, of course, the beach! Cars are restricted on many of the roadways so you can wander without a care. Unlike Alys Beach, where all of the homes are white, the houses in Rosemary Beach each reflect the tastes of their owners. You can stroll through the streets for hours admiring the architecture or enjoy one of the common green areas where you will find families playing games and having picnics.
EAT
Cowgirl Kitchen: A neighborhood favorite, Cowgirl Kitchen offers a fusion of American and Mexican cuisines.
La Crema Tapas & Chocolate: Who doesn’t love small plates? I definitely prefer ordering a bunch of small plates and sampling the best that a restaurant has to offer. You definitely don’t want to leave La Creme without trying their dessert, especially the chocolate chip cookie!
Pescado Seafood Grill & Rooftop Bar: Pescado’s rooftop has the best views in Rosemary Beach. Enjoy their fresh seafood, delicious drinks and the beautiful sunset.
Restaurant Paradis: With a menu that changes seasonally, Restaurant Paradis offers quality Gulf seafood and a great atmosphere. PLUS, their doorway is always decorated beautifully!
SHOP
Tracery: You will most likely become obsessed with the beachy style of the Scenic 30A towns. Head to Tracery, which has been featured in countless home and design magazines to bring some of that interior inspiration into your home.
Willow: If you’re visiting Scenic 30A on a girlfriend getaway you will definitely want to stop in Willow! Treat yourself to some stylish clothing and jewelry before a night out on the town.
Pish Posh Patchouli’s: This adorable apothecary features all of the oils, balms, bath and body products that you could every ask for! It is definitely a one-stop shop for Self Care Sunday!
ENJOY
Walking: Strolling through the streets of Rosemary Beach you will find a mixture of beautifully unique architecture and beautiful green spaces. Window shop for hours or pop in and out of the bars and restaurants as the secret pathways lead you to your next destination.
Biking: The Timpoochee Trail is an 18-mile pathway that connects many of the beach neighborhoods along Scenic 30A. There are plenty of bikes to rent and you can keep them for your entire trip or just for the day.
Kayaking: There are many beautiful state parks and dune lakes to kayak in, or you can head right into the gulf! Many days the water is calm and you can see dolphins, sea turtles and other sea creatures! If you head into Grayton Beach State Park you can even paddle straight from the Western Lake into the Gulf!
Stand-Up Paddleboarding: The calm, smooth waters of the dune lakes along Scenic 30A are perfect for stand-up paddleboarding. I even saw people paddling out into the gulf when the waves weren't too big. You can rent a board and even take lessons if it's your first time.
Yoga: Yoga studios dot the drive from Panama City Beach to Miramar Beach, offering indoor classes and outdoor sessions on the sand. If you're feeling adventurous you can even practice your flow on top of a stand-up paddleboard!
