Ever since we first saw a Seabob on the show Below Deck, Ryan and I have dreamed of one day trying it! We got the chance to join a private tour with Seabob Aruba and, let me tell you, it was AMAZING! Our guide Leo picked us up at our hotel, Casa Del Mar, bright and early for a 9AM tour - it was a beautiful morning and the sky was a bright blue with barely any clouds. We headed to Boca Catalina beach where we would begin our adventure for the day. If you have never heard of a Seabob it is the most technically advanced, eco-friendly way to move under the water and is probably one of the most unique experiences you will ever have in the water. Propelled by a pollution-free electric stream power system, the Seabob allows you to move 22km/h on water and dive down to 40 meters at the speed of 16km/h (which we made sure to do a lot of!). Leo gave us our instructions for the day, going over all of the buttons on the Seabob. He let us know that we could wear wetsuits if we wanted, provided us with goggles, and gave us our first practice round of Seabobing. Operating the Seabob was super easy - it had four different speeds we could travel at and all we had to do was hold down on the throttle! We spent the morning exploring all of the most beautiful snorkeling spots in Noord, including Malmok Beach, Boca Catalina Beach, Antilla Shipwreck and all of the vibrantly colored coral reefs in between! We could tell that Leo was very passionate about the sea and Aruba, as he gave us such an in depth history lesson about the island and shipwreck and was great at pointing out all of the different fish - we even got to see a Sea Cucumber and a Quillback Rockfish (also known as a Stonefish), which is one of if not the most poisonous fish in the world! But, by far, the best part of the day was that I finally got to live out my life-long dream of swimming with sea turtles! We saw about ten sea turtles of all different sizes so I was beyond happy! It truly was one of the most amazing experiences of our lives and I think the photos and videos will prove it! Check out everything we captured from our amazing day with Seabob Aruba in the gallery below! If you visit Aruba I highly recommend joining a tour with Seabob Aruba! You and your loved ones will definitely have an amazing experience!
