WHERE TO EAT | MY GUIDE TO KAUAI, HAWAII

Kauai isn't that big of an island, but there is SO MUCH to do and SO MUCH to eat! There are countless options for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert, and we tried to hit up as many as we could in the week that we were there. We ended up staying at the cutest resort called Wyndham Bali Hai Villas on the North Shore of Kauai in Princeville. When we weren't relaxing on the beach or taking excursions, we were exploring the different areas of Kauai and all they had to offer. Here is my guide of must-eat-at restaurants! STAY TUNED for my top 5 activities to do in Kauai and to hear about ALL the activities we did!

4-1485 Kuhio Hwy, Kapaʻa, HI 96746

Never have I ever been so excited by a breakfast place! Kountry Kitchen was legit phenomenal. I ordered the Macadamia Nut French Toast drizzled with coconut syrup and Ryan and an omelette with the most delicious hash browns. By far the best breakfast I have ever had! We had to wait quite a while to get a table and after that meal I am not surprised in the least!

5-5161 Kuhio Hwy, Hanalei, HI 96714

Bar Acuda was my FAVORITE restaurant and the first restaurant we ate at on our trip! It really set the tone for the week and was honestly in my top meals ever. It is tapas style so we ordered six or seven dishes and shared them! Some standouts for me were the Local Cucumber Salad, Ahi Carpaccio, and Albondigas. It really was all SOOOO delicious!

5-5016 Kuhio Hwy, Hanalei, HI 96714

I can never turn down some fresh fish and The Dolphin in Hanalei has the freshest! We had a nice date night here and had a few appetizers and sushi rolls on the porch, but they also have a full restaurant and fish market. It's a cute, casual place and I would definitely go back and try the full menu!

2829 Ala Kalanikaumaka St Building L, Koloa, HI 96756

There are actually two locations of Bubba Burgers on the island - one in Kapaa and one in Poipu. When we went to the one in Kapaa it was about to close so we didn't get to eat there, but we couldn't leave Kauai without trying it! On our last day we watched the sunset at Poipu Beach and headed over to the Shops at Kukui'ula for our final meal! The burgers were delicious and Ryan even said they compete with In-n-Out!

Wishing Well Shave Ice 5-5080 Kuhio Hwy, Hanalei, HI 96714

Shave Ice is a staple on Kauai and we luckily had one of the best shave ice places right down the road from us! Ryan and I each got our own flavors - he had The Caffeine Monkey and I had The Rainbow. They were soooo yummy! I just wish we got to have more before leaving!!

I can't wait to get back to Kauai and try out some of the other amazing restaurants that were recommended to us. If you have any restaurants that YOU love, please leave them in the comments!

xoxo. Alexandra
